Sayville, Long Island, March 2008 – Brainworks Software, the leading provider of newspaper advertising and circulation systems for North America has announced the signing of a contract for a 134-user integrated advertising system for The Post and Courier. The Post and Courier will implement a complete Brainworks integrated advertising system including classified, retail and preprint advertising as well as web ad order entry, web publishing, client web access, data mining, sales force automation, integrated marketing, sales budgeting and interfaces to numerous third party systems.

The Evening Post Community Publishing Group system will be a complete installation with a centralized data center located at the regional hub in Charleston. All of the group’s publications will operate from that single site via Wide Area Network connections providing all sites with identical toolsets and instant access to all financial and ad data.

“We needed a business solution that would allow our local publishers and corporate management to have a 360-degree view of our business at all times so that we could make critical business decisions in a timely manner instead of always looking in the rearview mirror”, said Mickey Bella, Vice President of Operations. “We need to take our company forward and allow us to grow quickly and effectively.”

John Barry, President of Brainworks Software added; “The Post and Courier is an exciting, energized organization. Led by a dynamic team of hand-picked managers that are committed to excellence in all areas of their publishing operations, they are transforming their organization through innovation and an intense focus. They recognized the importance of choosing vendors that matched their creativity and drive. For this reason, we at Brainworks are particularly pleased to have been selected for such an important role within The Post and Courier - helping to drive advertising revenues upward.”

Following the initial implementation at The Post and Courier the Evening Post Community Publishing Group will add The Summerville Journal, The Aiken Standard, The Moultrie News, and several other papers from their group to the centralized system. Ultimately, the entire Evening Post Community Group will be operating from the centralized system in Charleston.

Brainworks software has been installed at over 800 North American newspapers over the past 25 years. Products include fully integrated classified and display advertising, circulation, billing, accounts receivable, contract and credit management, classified pagination, ROP ad layout, editorial and editorial pagination, and a state-of-the art Sales Force Automation system supporting Web and Palm OS platforms.
Brainworks customers include individual newspapers as well as publishing companies, which incorporate multiple products and divisions into a single database. Brainworks Software maintains offices in Sayville, NY and Wichita, KS.
